Evangelion’s 30th‑anniversary festival in Yokohama closed with a bombshell: a brand‑new anime series, teased as the franchise’s “Next Genesis.” Co‑produced by Studio Khara and CloverWorks, the project brings Evangelion veteran Kazuya Tsurumaki together with NieR creator Yoko Taro on series composition and Keiichi Okabe on music. It’s the clearest signal yet that Eva will continue beyond Anno—on its own complicated terms.
Even if you haven’t watched the prequel, this series will be a nice watch for fans of Mecha and Shounen genres. This is an enjoyable show which talks about overcoming hardships amidst one’s own darkness. All in all, recommended

Overall, NGE is the masterpiece it is hyped up to be. Just be sure to watch the movie “End of Evangelion” after finishing this series for an extraordinary conclusion. It is definitely one of the best and most iconic anime series ever spawned. Each episode is immensely entertaining. NGE is a must-watch for all anime fans, even those not interested in the Mecha genre. We highly recommend it!
