The Detective is Already Dead Do you trust your intuition or gut instinct when solving issues or analyzing and calculating possibilities? Thanks to Sherlock Holmes, we've fallen in love with detectives and solving crimes at some point in our lives. We may have learned some tricks from watching such shows or reading detective novels and manga. If you like not-so-well-explained crime-solving detective anime, this is the one for you. “The Detective Is Already Dead” (Japanese: Tantei wa mou Shindeiru; Spanish: La detective está muerta) is an anime adaptation of the same-named Japanese light novel series authored by Nigoj and illustrated by Umibzu. The series is animated by ENGI and directed by Manabu Kurihara, with scripts handled by Deko Akao and characters designed by Ysuke It. The series' music was composed by Yuuyu, Naoki Tani, and Tatsuya Yano. The series was transferred to Crunchyroll following Sony's acquisition of Crunchyroll. Muse Communication licensed the series to iQIYI and Bilibili in South and Southeast Asia and broadcast on Animax Asia. AT-X, Tokyo MX, SUN, KBS, BS-NTV, and TVA produced the anime, which aired from July to September 2021, with the first episode airing as a one-hour special. The series consists of 12 episodes, each lasting 24 minutes. The anime's genres included comedy, drama, mystery, and romance, and it was rated PG-13 - Teens 13 and up. Since May 2020, a manga adaptation with art by Mugiko has been serialized in Media Factory's seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive. Yen Press has licensed the light novel and manga in North America. Kimihiko Kimizuka, 18, has been attracting problems since he was a toddler. According to him, he was born with a condition that naturally draws him to troublesome situations. Situations such as being forced to join a flash mob while out for a leisurely walk, accidentally stumbling across an underworld transaction between drug dealers, and being at crime scenes frequently enough to be considered a suspect. He was kidnapped and forced to carry a bag onto an international aircraft one day in his third year of junior high; on that journey, he encountered Siesta, a lady who professes to be a "legendary detective." Kimihiko, who had been forced to become her sidekick, assisted her in preventing the plane from being hijacked, but not before discovering the existence of underworld groups. Kimihiko accepts to be Siesta's sidekick after being pestered for three years, during which time they find and solve an infinite amount of cases. The first episode is fantastic, lasting 50 minutes and providing a significant buildup to the twist mentioned in the synopsis. The episode is definitely focused on the characters. The creators clearly intended for us to become attracted to Siesta as we are introduced to the MC and Siesta, the world's mythological powers and enemies. It was great to observe how the two became companions for only one episode. The storyline is quite different from what you may expect, and it is pretty good. Yes, the plot moves slowly sometimes, but that won't stop you from enjoying it. Character development is both slow and definite. Some characters in the series may feel rushed into the series. Kimihiko, our main protagonist, is eighteen years old and is renowned for being a magnet for trouble; as a result, he can reason even in the riskiest of situations. He has amber, golden eyes and short black hair with slightly longer bangs. Kimihiko usually wears a black suit with a white shirt underneath. Siesta, our female heroine and detective, has white hair in a chin-length bob with Birkin bangs and sky blue eyes that both Nagisa and Kimihiko think are pretty beautiful. Her mission is to prevent criminal acts from occurring. Siesta's physical and athletic abilities are far beyond the average person's. Kimi began to wonder if Siesta was an Android. Siesta also avoids many tentacles from Bat, exhibiting superior mobility in their battle. "Siesta" is a code name that translates to "Nap" in Spanish. The show depicts their incredible friendships, surviving grief, and character development throughout the series. Nagisa Natsunagi, an 18-year-old high school student, is the series' secondary main heroine and one of the main characters. Her hair is black and long, and her eyes are ombre reddish. Despite her attractive and graceful appearance, Nagisa has a strong attitude, but she is a powerful character whose catchphrase is "Die Twice." Many anime or shows marketed as mystery or detective series portray their cases as unsatisfying and complicated, as these crimes are frequently solved by contrived methods that are not explained to the viewers. Some episodes may leave the impression that the tale was poorly executed and unjustly. The animation quality of The Detective Is Already Dead is impressive; judging from the battle scenes during the plane disaster, the fluid yet sharp motions of the scenario gave a compelling first impression, but it only lasted for the first episode. The animation quality may seem to deteriorate and lack flow throughout the series. The voice artists also deserve praise for effectively portraying the sardonic comedy in the language. As a result, the humor is consistently amusing without resorting to slapstick antics. The opening theme song, "Koko de Ikiteru," was sung by Mary jon-Yakitory. (lit. "I Am Alive Right Here"), while Kagura Nana sang the last theme song, "Kod " (lit. "Heartbeat"). Overall, the music is enjoyable. Overall, it’s an excellent anime, even though some episodes do not adequately explain the mysteries and crime investigation. It's mysterious, and the plots may catch you off guard. You might conclude that the series' creators could have done a better job. However, I would recommend watching the series and deciding for yourself.
