God of High School
“Quick Take & Top Highlights”
The God of High School was adapted into an anime from an extremely popular Manhwa, and there’s a reason why Manhwa adaptations are always a hit. Their storylines are too good, the animation is phenomenal, the music is so catchy, and there’s a particular hype around them.

Something similar happened when The God of High School Anime came out. It took the anime community by storm, and I absolutely loved how it presented things to us. Let’s talk more about Check out my detailed review of "The God of High School" below! It was indeed one of the best anime that came out in the year 2020. The Tournament, “The God Of High School,” is all set to seek the strongest fighter in Korea. The fight primarily emphasizes the Martial Arts style, allowing the combatants to use all techniques and practices within Martial Arts. The winner will be granted one wish, which could be anything.

Jin Mo Ri is a Taekwondo expert who was also taking part in the tournament. He comes across Han Dae Wi, a Karate specialist, and Yu Mi Ra, a skilled swordswoman. He befriends both of them there. Jin Mo Ri is Ill aware that he’s going to face the most dangerous fighters from all around Korea, but instead of getting scared or nervous, he gets excited to fight them. That’s how cool the protagonist Jin Mo Ri is. Park Mu Jin is the one overseeing all the tournaments and is a very shady human being. There lies a deep secret within the tournament that nobody knows about. My three brave fighters are ready to face all the changes they come across and reveal the deep, dark secret behind the shady match.

Have you ever come across such an anime with an excellent, organized, and well-paced plot? The God of High School is exactly that kind of anime. The events are timely and are also very Ill organized. The pacing is fantastic from the start. However, the last episode was a little ridiculous when there was a sudden turn of events, and everything looked perplexing. Other than that, throughout the series, the pacing has been excellent. I couldn’t help but get excited to watch every episode because they create hype with everything. I'm literally dying to know what happens in the next episode because it’s just that good. Creating a never-ending hype was definitely one of the smartest moves the creators of The God of High School had up their sleeves.

I can also see why some people love the Manhwa more than the anime. That’s because there are a few differences between the original Manhwa and the anime adaptation that the fans didn’t like. I understand the feeling. The anime adaptation is only perfect when it stays true to the original Manhwa. With The God of High School, I see glaring differences between the original Manhwa and the anime adaptation, so that was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the anime, in terms of plot and story, seems perfect. There are no plot holes nor any filler episodes. Everything is going at a perfect pace, so it’s all good!

The God of High School has some very likable and fun characters with unique and relatable personalities. My leading trio, Jin Mo Ri, Han Dae Wi, and Yu Mira, are the best out of all of them. I love their interaction and how their friendship develops over time. At first, they are cold and distant from each other, except, of course, Jin Mo Ri. He was chill with everyone. Then several events happened that brought them closer, and I couldn’t help but swoon over them! The supporting character that I loved the most was Ilpyo. He is pretty similar to Jin Mo Ri, maybe even better. His personality is just too good, and I love his interaction with Jin Mo Ri. Park Mu Jin and his whole squad are just excellent. There are many badass people that I'm still not sure if they’re friends or enemies.

Overall, the characters of The God of High School are just phenomenal. Their personalities, their development, and their interactions with each other are just perfect! Great job with the character creation! The visuals for the God of High School are truly remarkable. Its animation is probably the best I've seen in a while. The character designs look excellent and are pretty colorful. I love how all the characters have a red tint on their noses. It’s adorable. Other than that, the action scenes are highly fluid and smooth. There’s no CGI, and nothing feels out of place. The budget for the animation is used the right way!

If you haven’t listened to the opening soundtrack of The God of High School, you have to do it right now! It’s one of the best anime openings I’ve ever listened to, and I'm not exaggerating here. It suits the theme of the anime perfectly and excites you before the fights. The background music also fits the action scenes perfectly. So, overall, I have 0 complaints about the music department. It’s flawless! I enjoyed watching The God of High School and would strongly recommend it. I can’t wait for the next season, but unfortunately, I have no news about the new season!
