Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire Have you ever had fever dreams that are the most bizarre and involve things like giving birth to a cat or flying elephants? That is ludicrous, certainly. But when you're dreaming, it seems so natural, and when you reflect on things, they're so absurdly funny that you can't help but laugh. Okay, now prepare for another exhilarating voyage through the parody anime universe. “Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire” is an anime television series that aired on AT-X from April 5th, 2014, to June 21st, 2014. Tetsuya Yanagisawa led the show. TNK animated it, and Kadokawa, Showgate, AT-X, Lantis, and Genco made it. Takao Yoshioka served as the screenwriter. You should note that the series' broadcasts were uncensored, unlike those on TV Kanagawa and other networks, where they were carefully edited. The opening track is "Kenzen Robo Daimidaler" by Masaaki Endoh's new group, Endoh-kai. Meanwhile, "Suki Suki//Links" by Ibuki Kido, Ayaka Ohashi, and Azusa Tadokoro serves as the closing theme. Before the series was released on DVD and Blu-ray with an English dub by Madman Entertainment in Australia, Funimation licensed it for broadcast on their video website in North America. This fantastic anime, which had 12 episodes, was based on a similar-titled manga. Its genres were action, comedy, and ecchi, and its subject matter was mecha. The anime appealed to the Seinen demographic, and each episode had a running time of 24 minutes alongside an R+ rating for mild nudity. It is a manga. On December 15th, 2008, Fellows! began the serialization of Asaki Nakama's Daimidaler the Sound Robot, which he wrote and drew himself. Later, Enterbrain put the series together and published it in four tankobon volumes from 2009 to 2012. The story centers around high school student Kōichi Madanbashi, who carries Hi-ERo particles, which the robot Daimidaler uses as its energy source. He gets these particles by groping women to power up the robot and fight penguin-shaped robots from the supposedly evil Penguin Empire. Yes, the story's main character is suddenly in charge of a giant robot to fight an alien race that has invaded Earth. They are not your typical invaders; instead, they are human-like penguins. Drive—the kind of drive that makes your robot stronger—should typically be the motivating factor in defeating your foes. But instead of using willpower, Daimidaler is powered by the perverted pilot's "ero energy/ero power." Ero power is used to poke fun at the willpower powerups, which are rather silly when you think about them, if you haven't figured that out by now. Since Daimidaler often uses parodies like this, the show will probably only be funny to people who know what these references are about. On the other hand, the Penguin Empire is a group of humanoid penguins that plan to conquer and eventually rule the planet. They have "front tails" (tails on their crotch that make them appear to have an enlarged erection). They are seen to be amicable and treat one another like family, in contrast to the initial impression that they are wicked invaders. They also succeeded in lowering the production and sales of pornographic and explicit media, and they are renowned for minimizing city damage when at war (which the Daimidaler pilots do not usually do). As a result, they are viewed as heroes as opposed to the Daimidaler pilots and the personnel of the Beauty Salon Prince, who are regarded as threats. Our main character, Kōichi Madanbashi, was the first known Daimidaler pilot. Co-protagonist Kyouko Sonan enlists Koichi to help her in the conflict with the Penguin Empire after learning that he contains Hi-ERo particles. Due to the misery, they caused her father when they first came to Earth; she has a deep hatred for the Penguin Empire. Although it is implied that she has started to feel something for Koichi, she dislikes having him grope her in order to unleash his Hi-ERo particles. But Kōichi is likely killed in combat while defending Kyouko during an encounter against one of the Penguin Empire's most powerful robots… The supporting cast consists mainly of Kiriko Kiyuna, whose boyfriend is Shōma Ameku. She had immediately piqued his interest, and he subsequently expressed his feelings to her. Thus, he was initially unaware of her chaotic background, but Kiriko made a point to inform him of it eventually. Meanwhile, the Penguin Empire's monarch wants to take over the Earth, plain and simple. The commander and the academics' girlfriends, who are there to please the fans, are also important characters. The commander has that imposing, wisecracking badass appearance. There are also many supporting characters on both the Penguin Empire and Prince sides, and a handful who are not affiliated with either. They are not significant, and they are never present enough for me to feel strongly about them. However, they provided some humor and other flavors to the proceedings, so I guess they did their job. When it comes to the things that truly matter, the art and animation are rather good and highly powerful. The early mecha designs could have been better, as was already said, but the later models were considerably more impressive. The action animation was also incredibly well done. The character designs were generally relatively strong, and the "Ecchi parts" of the animation were solid, in line with the main themes. The antagonist penguins had tails where humans would have their private parts, which was humorous. The female characters also had large breasts, if this wasn’t apparent. The introduction of the soundtrack, which shouts "GAR!" from every note, is particularly significant. The opening theme is upbeat, enjoyable, and memorable. Regardless of the closing theme, I could have been more impressed by the soundtrack. They had the generic sound of mood-enhancing music. They weren't employed very frequently. As was said at the beginning, older anime fans will likely like this one because they will get all the references and jokes. As for me, I liked the show. There isn't much to this program save the parody and sarcasm. In addition, there is half-nudity and the GAR factor. Most of the episodes are self-contained, and the main storyline is the conflict between these two groups. A person may occasionally transform into a penguin and vice versa, among other odd technological pieces and intriguing curve balls. If you watch it expecting a particularly well-developed plot, this is probably not for you. You may just enjoy yourself while watching this program because this comedy is so absurd that there have been times when I've laughed so hard that I started crying. Despite being ridiculous and rude, it’s a parody of mecha anime and has some genuinely entertaining moments. You should think of this show as a comedy and anticipate many Ecchi moments! This anime won't let you down if you like Ecchi! Overall recommended!
