"Blue Gender" was a show that, for me personally, I found to be quite entertaining. The story was straightforward, but it was told in a way that was very moving. The characters were thoughtfully constructed and given a lot of depth. It was interesting to see how the dystopian themes played out, as well as how the earth had a personality of its own.

Katarina grows both on purpose and by accident as she learns to survive in her environment, and the story goes in a logical way. The cast is enjoyable, and it's not just another typical group of bishounen either. The animation is flawless, and the start is memorable.
