Whoever Steals This Book follows Mifuyu Mikura, a book-hating high schooler whose family library triggers an ancient curse when volumes are stolen. Her town transforms into the worlds inside those books, forcing Mifuyu to dive into each fictional realm to chase the thief and restore reality. Directed by Daisei Fukuoka and animated by Kagokan, the film shifts visual styles with each genre—from fantasy to steampunk—creating a meta narrative about confronting stories we dismiss.
