The Day I Became A God begins as a lighthearted slice-of-life anime but quickly spirals into a melodramatic mess. Despite its stunning animation and decent soundtrack, the story feels repetitive and uninspired, echoing Jun Maeda’s earlier works without their heart. Characters lack depth, emotional beats fall flat, and the plot’s pacing drags, leaving viewers underwhelmed rather than moved.
