RWBY Volume Six

If you have been following RWBY, I am sure you can agree to this: all seasons of RWBY were either really good or bad, but season 6 has been one of the best! While certain episodes were devoted to worldbuilding or had a less frantic tone, each episode felt completely meaningful and progressed the plot. I am telling you, season 6 is the real deal!

RWBY Volume Six Review

Season 6 continues the series' tradition of groundbreaking animation and storytelling. Grimm are a continual menace to all, as they are driven to destructive emotions and attack people viciously anytime they encounter them. The story revolves around the geopolitical situation in a world where two races and numerous rival governments struggle to maintain a fragile peace. Character growth and combating urgent challenges have dominated the previous five seasons.

Season 6 dives deeper into the nature and origins of those dangers, and the conflict that team RWBY is currently engaged in is far older and more daunting than any viewer of the show could have anticipated.

RWBY Volume Six Review

This popular series revolves around four young girls who are preparing to fight mysterious monsters known as Grimm. Team RWBY (Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang) tries to establish peace in a world ruled by supernatural powers.

Team RWBY is finally reunited after everything they have been through in the past seasons. Their first job now that they've reunited will be to escort the Relic of Knowledge. The world, however, is collapsing around them. Grimm can still be found lurking and traveling through Remnant. As a result, our beloved characters' trip ahead will not be simple.

Rather than building things up, this season focused on answering questions that fans had had for a long time. Who is Salem? Will Blake and Yang ever be able to overcome their trauma? What is Ozpin's arrangement? What is the Relic?  How did this conflict begin? Who are the Silver Eyes? Everything is going to be answered, my friend.

That's what makes season 6 so satisfying. It’s no longer raising questions but rather addressing them as the voyage progresses, which we desperately needed at this point. We've had six seasons of mystery and awe, and we're ready for some answers.

RWBY Volume Six Review

I was anticipating Adam to show up and mess things up for Team RWBY, and that’s what happened. In the final episodes, he attacked Blake while she was attempting to assist her crew in escaping. While Adam hasn't been the most engaging character in the series, he has been one of the most terrifying antagonists. We've seen what he's done to people like Blake and Yang, and he's now obsessed with achieving his goals. Not only was his fight with Blake and Yang enthralling, but it also allowed fans to get a glimpse of what was beyond his mask. There was what appeared to be a jail number stamped over his eye under it.

One of my greatest gripes with RWBY was that the Faunus were never treated cruelly. When one of your primary characters complains about being mistreated, you must illustrate that this is actually happening. I highly doubt Blake would lie about something so serious; this doesn't necessarily imply they are being treated well or equally.

I have seen arguments like "it would be difficult to watch if they addressed that," but that's the purpose. If you're going to handle a topic like racism, you must be willing to expose racism for what it is. While Adam's face reveal makes him appear tiny, it does indicate what led to his becoming the ruthless person he is now.

While we don't know how Adam got the stamp, many people believe it came from the Schnee Dust Company. After all, Blake complained to Weiss about the corporation mistreating her employees. Perhaps they do indulge in or continue to engage in slavery behind closed doors. I'm hoping that volume 7 will detail this, as Adam looks to have died in his fight with Blake and Yang. I feel we will see more of his narrative in the future, but I believe he'll be gone after that fight.

RWBY Volume Six Review

The animated series' sixth volume proved to be a significant improvement over the previous installments. It even reintroduced some of the knots from Volume 5. Furthermore, the majority of the characters have compelling backstories and essential roles throughout. The story's pacing has also improved, so you won’t feel like you are wasting your time. Most crucially, nearly every plot decision now makes sense. They also laid the groundwork for the future season's plot.

Even if it had its slow parts, the volume's tale turned around at the correct times. The suspense and thrill which was missing in previous editions are back. Rather than building things up, RWBY Volume 6 focused on answering questions we've had for a long time. This makes the installment rewarding. If you were thinking of quitting the show, don’t let go just yet. It’s worth sticking around, I promise!

Overall, RWBY Volume 6 was a fun watch and a deserved continuation of the popular series. It sets up a fantastic plot for Volume 7, which I hope will be just as impressive.

RWBY Volume Six Review

To be honest, I was unsure if Volume 6 would be good. Fortunately, Volume 6 was fantastic, and it is my personal favorite so far. Several instances in the Volume reminded me why I initially fell in love with the series. It reminded me that, despite its flaws, RWBY is still a compelling story that ought to be told.

Hopefully, my review has given you a glimpse of season 6 without bombarding you with spoilers. The final episode is where all the thrill lies. Adam is going to ruin everything by getting into a fight with Blake and Yang (which was kind of expected).
