Tsukimichi - Moonlit Fantasy
Do the popular girls at school constantly reject you? Have you had enough of this world's disregard for your very existence? Do you wish to experience being a chad for at least a moment? Oh boy, do we have a solution for you— and you may have thought this sentence only applies to Solo Leveling, but it does not.
"Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchu" was created based on the same-named Light Novel by Azumi Kei. On October 20th, 2020, a television Anime series was announced. Shinji Ishihira is the series' director, and C2C is in charge of the Animation. Yukie Suzuki created the characters, Kenta Ihara handled the series' composition, and Yasuharu Takanashi composed the music. It aired on Tokyo MX and other networks from July 7th to September 22th, 2021.
The anime's licensing was obtained by Crunchyroll, who streamed it outside of Asia. After receiving licenses for Southeast Asia and South Asia, the series also streamed on Medialink's Ani-One YouTube channel. However, access to the channel requires the Ani-One Ultra Membership program.
Since May 2013, seventeen volumes of the light novel series have been released; since 2015, 10 volumes of the manga have been released. Action, adventure, comedy, and fantasy were among the anime's genres, with Isekai as the primary theme. The series had 12 episodes with a running time of 24 minutes each, and it was rated PG-13 for teens 13 and up.
Makoto Misumi is sent to a different planet to meet a Goddess and take on the role of the Hero as part of a mystery contract between that goddess and his parents, which was made years ago. The deity, however, declares Makoto to be "hideous," refusing to even look at him and revoking his heroic title. Makoto is then cruelly driven to the furthest reaches of the wasteland, far from human civilization, by the goddess, in return for which she grants him the ability to understand all languages except the human language.
Regardless, Makoto's innate magical and physical talents awakened due to the differences between Earth and this new realm, granting him superhuman strength. He encounters a variety of demihumans and legendary creatures, who are all enthralled by his traits and assist Makoto in creating a new village where everyone can live in harmony. Despite his many accomplishments, Makoto still longs to interact with others. As such, he and his friends must satisfy this need within a world where the goddess has forbidden him from speaking to others of his species, perhaps changing civilization in the process.
The series' primary protagonist is Makoto Misumi. Three people from Earth were called to the Goddess' World, and he is one of them. Makoto is a youthful, short (around 160 cm) teenager with black eyes and mid-length hair. Despite having average-looking facial characteristics, folks in the Goddess's realm may mistake him for a demi-human of some sort or think he is unattractive. Makoto is mostly a very logical guy who obfuscates mysteries.
Why does he look so different from the rest of his family physically? How did his parents go from their planet to Earth? What about his terrifying magic abilities? These questions will eventually receive responses. You will watch him as he attempts to adjust to this new existence like any high school guy would and finally forget how many unknowables make up this antihero.
Like other young students, he is pretty innocent and ordinary in studies and athletics. Not the most unique of the season, but target practice is his coping mechanism for social and emotional stress. It has been demonstrated that he struggles to control his emotions when he cannot target practice.
Female protagonist Tomoe gets into her first altercation with Makoto, finally stopping her boredom. After that, she pretends to be his subordinate. But in reality, her tomboyish tendencies allow her to control things most of the time, even if Makoto was meant to be in charge. And because of her extreme obsession with Japanese period dramas, Makoto simply calls her a Weeaboo out loud, which is funny, to say the least.
The almost-Yandere character of the show is Mio. She maintains her character's characteristics, but eventually, Makoto labels her a glutton before anything else. Her appetite and desire to eat everything obscure her motivations, making it difficult to determine whether she is more romantically engaged in Makoto or just hungry. She is, however, still amusing enough to accept Tomoe's challenges and tease him about her level and power. There are countless additional characters in this Anime, both known and unknown, but C2C did a great job preserving their character traits during the transition to Anime.
The plot holds one’s interest very well, with gorgeous scenery and how they develop. The tale moved along relatively smoothly, and there was a lot of intriguing stuff to do with the main character's prowess. The main character and a few other characters were engaging; however, this can’t be said about all of them. Nevertheless, you can enjoy this anime's terrific humor, good plot, good usage of pop culture aspects, and intriguing characters.
This anime provides moderately amusing settings for the main character to continually receive new "Strong" females, for whom the audience can input themselves to achieve some form of wish fulfillment. Its setup is much the same as any other isekai. Most anime in this genre only sells for that reason, after all. But as the plot develops, we really see some solid character growth. They handled this one amusingly and delightfully, even for someone who doesn't particularly appreciate harem.
Despite the comedy, I was also thoroughly entertained by the narrative. They accurately depict the main character's nation's development and his growth and development while also remembering to include a brief glimpse of the series' standout combat. It moves along at a good clip, never rushing into action but preventing the show from becoming monotonous. Additionally, it's laid back, so you sometimes wait to see what will happen next.
C2C did a fantastic job with the art direction; it resembles the manga and stays away from the simple, overused, and dull designs that most series these days succumb to. It took me some time to get acclimated to some of the tiny variances because I have read the Manga for a long time. Still, viewers who enter this uninformed are unlikely to find anything strange.
For the majority of the Anime, the music is quite well done. The closing theme song, "Beautiful Dreamer," is sung by Ezoshika Gourmet Club, while the opening theme song, "Gamble," is performed by syudou. All in all, this is an entertaining anime throughout. Recommended!
