Teenagers have a greater desire to learn about topics previously difficult for them to comprehend. The trauma brought on by a catastrophe might inspire one to see the remarkable. Still, it can also cause one to end up dead because of the guilt associated with losing a loved one and wanting to redeem oneself.

When it comes to the sibling you were meant to grow up with, not being able to save them despite their cries may be heartbreaking. You see them suffer daily from an incurable condition for which no solution exists. Can you imagine the need for redemption they will feel? We cannot imagine how it must feel, but this anime can portray it and sting us in the right spot to make us think.

Kanji Yakutani, a renowned medical researcher, lost his younger sister to a tumor many years ago due to inadequate treatment. He has devoted his study to creating new therapies for these ailments in memory of her legacy. However, fate has it that he overworks himself and dies at the age of 31, just to be offered a second shot at life in another universe. When Kanji awakens, he discovers himself in the body of Falma de Médicis, a 10-year-old kid who hails from a distinguished Sain Fleuve Empire family of physicians. Falma, who carries the mark of a deity's divine favor, possesses a unique sacred art that enables him to produce and decrease any substance while being aware of its chemical composition.

The economic and scientific intricacy of the program was incredibly fascinating to me. The pharmaceutical guild, nobility, church, etc., all acted as logically as you'd anticipate if someone appeared out of thin air with a concoction of curative pharmaceuticals. The absence of physical action is made up for by the show's use of political and medical chess. Furthermore, the main character and the supporting cast are all endearing, which always makes for a pleasurable viewing experience. The beginning of the narrative is quite heartbreaking, as our main character loses his sister to an incurable disease. I cried so hard that my eyes got heavy watching the part where the sister quietly cries and asks if she may be treated. Even though it was only animated for a short while, the voice acting had a significant effect.

Our main guy made the terrible decision to become a doctor when his sister passed away. But he constantly overexerted himself out of remorse over his sister's demise. Ultimately, this endeavor to atone for his sins proved too much for him, resulting in his death from what may appear to be a moderate death but is actually a very agonizing overwork-related death. He worked hard every day with little time for rest. He subsequently endured rebirth into a strange dimension, where he tried to "redeem" himself while assimilating to its enchantment and fantasy.

The art of "Parallel World Pharmacy" is pretty good, and the presentation moves along at a good clip. Some of that positive energy is carried over in the pictures and animation, which Diomedéa handled superbly. Nevertheless, the show is typically entertaining, and you could even have fun while learning some pathology and medical information. The pandemic plot, in my opinion, was entirely predictable and repetitive. It looked like an opening to a larger story in the LN, like most seasonal series these days. Still, considering what we've seen so far, I'm prepared to keep watching to discover more about this fascinating world and its inhabitants.

The opening theme is "Muso-teki Chronicle" by Kaori Ishihara, while the ending is "Haku'u" by Little Black Dress. They used just suitable, animation-specific sounds throughout. "Parallel World Pharmacy" is a normal Isekai with clichés that have probably been used billions of times. Still, understanding when to use its unique element stands out even more as being distinct from other Isekai. In general, I adore the vibes it brings to the table.

I like how the show gives each character a realistic, non-overly theatrical portrayal of their traits and personalities as the narrative progresses. The interactions between the characters express each one's characteristics and character archetypes genuinely. I bet you’ll be crying your eyes out in the beginning. If you enjoy educational and compassionate documentaries like the one about the man who was reborn as a 10-year-old pharmacologist apprentice, "Parallel World Pharmacy" is the show for you. Very emotional yet educational anime. Recommended!
