Yowayowa Sensei
“Yuki, Fan Service, and the Boob Grab”
I figured I was a glutton for punishment at this point, but here we are. Same hallway, same show, except this time I am not even going to give you a score. I decided to roll with it. The score is whatever it is. Episode 3 is fan service from front to back, some of it earned, some of it forced, and the back half actually does the work the front half promises. If the three-episode rule is your key to liking an anime, Brain’s Base just showed their whole hand this round—no production details this time—same shop, same director, same HIDIVE Cho- Yowayowa cut. You can check Episode 1 and Episode 2 for the receipts. Let’s get into the actual episode.
Episode 3 Breakdown: Forced Setups, Yuki’s Arrival, and Some Actual Momentum
They jump right into things this time. Abikura is on his balcony, doing his usual self-talk about how living next to Sensei makes him feel self-conscious. Jesus, he’s really out here saying he’ll have to socialize with her in moderation and that just because she lives closer doesn’t mean they’ll get more involved. My brother, you saw your teacher naked last episode. The moderation ship has sailed. Sensei pops up on her balcony. The situation is already awkward, so naturally Akemi gets thrown into the mix to spice it up.

Today’s mission for the first half is to find a document Sensei lost during the move. Big sis got called to the hospital, so it’s just Sensei and student, and through Akemi’s yuri magic, Sensei talked herself into it. They’re looking for student handouts. He’s helping her unpack, so he’s definitely going to see some things he’s not supposed to see. And just like that, he goes into a neatly packed box, and there is a conspicuously placed piece of negligee—a very sexy bra. The excuse is she saw it at the store and couldn’t say no. Insert a weak, wimpy teacher. She doesn’t wear it every day and doesn’t have anyone to wear it for, so she only wears it on her days off. Uh-huh…

No wonder Akemi calls her a baby. We find her box of plushies, and the kid in her comes out. Her favorite is a fish plushie. To her credit, she is very knowledgeable about fish species. Abikura finally finds the handouts at the bottom of another box.
Now to complete the circle. She bumps into a box, falls over, and lands on her back. He falls on top, and you cannot explain to me how, based on the fall, her pants came down, and her shirt went up so that he could see her sexy bra and panties. Bullsh*t! If you’re wondering where the bra and panty set was sexy, yes, let’s move on.

The next day we’re at school. Sensei is taking Abikura along for a home visit to a truant who hasn’t been to school all year. A green blur pops out the door, and immediately when we see her, she is holding both of the teacher’s breasts in her hand, looks at Abikura, and says, “Who the hell are you?” Her name is Yuki Yukishita. And apparently she has a penchant for feeling up the teacher.

When Yuki goes for a feel the second time, Abikura grabs her up like a cat. Sensei says, “Please don’t be angry with them; they’re probably just lonely, and this is how they show their affection.” Funny coming from the woman who just got grabbed. At first I thought Abikura was going to tell Yuki to keep his hands off his woman. Somewhere in the midst of comedy, we get a heart. Yuki was scared of Sensei at first too and thought she was a ghost or something, but as she came to Yuki’s house each day and they talked more, she realized she was a freaking wimp, and it was fun watching her. Then Yuki says what many of you have been thinking. Her boobs are so big. She’s so erotic. Then she tries to switch the tables. “I bet you’re only interested in Hiwamura’s boobs too, aren’t cha?”

Abikura tries the treating-people-the-way-you-want-to-be-treated line. Yuki does have a sense of introspection and apologizes, saying she’s always on her own so she doesn’t know how to deal with people. And then she played him. “Is that what you thought I would say, moron?” My Japanese isn’t great, but “baka” lands so much better than “moron.” I genuinely wish localization teams would leave it untranslated occasionally.
She says nobody’s ever done that stuff to me, so how would I know? Moron. Then he goes for the touch to show her how it feels. That wasn’t the right lesson. But he does find out she’s a girl. I did laugh, but not for those reasons. Yuki runs out, trying to play on Sensei by telling her this jerk groped me. Sensei, being who she is, commends Abikura for learning to communicate with Yukishita-san by touch. Yuki says she doesn’t want to go to school if it’s filled with jerks like him. Sensei says she should have mentioned that Yuki was a girl.

Now the final act. As I was watching, I thought to myself, I bet you dollars to doughnuts that Yuki would come to school the following day. Abikura comes by to apologize and brings an enticement—you’ve got a pretty low bar for happiness if fondling boobs is all it takes. He tries the ploy that if she comes to school, she’ll see more of Sensei. Yuki responds with, “Everyone always says the same thing about school being fun or whatever.” He ups the ante—you might get to see a more erotic side of Sensei. That piqued her interest. So Yuki is motivated by erotic behaviors. Finally, she says, if school’s this steamy, then count me in. The caveat is I get to touch your breasts as much as I want just one last time. Interestingly enough, she comes with no bra, and they don’t sag.

Even without a bra, as chesty as she is, they defy the laws of gravity. Yuki has her feel. Sensei says, “Since you had a bad experience, this is the only way I can make it up to you,” and Yuki asks her if she’s a nymphomaniac. Abikura doesn’t care. He sits there and thinks they’ll have another ally at school. Good Lord.

They are really playing the fan service up, even to the point that she feels up Sensei’s boobs, goes up her blouse, and pinches her nipples, which is about to create havoc. Fortunately, insert cold shower—we just cut to the next day, and Yuki is at school. That’s funny seeing her in a skirt. Abikura notices how cute Yuki looks. So Yuki didn’t come to learn. She only came to see more erotic sides of the teacher. Yuki plans her move to run into the chest of Sensei. It goes wrong—she runs into the class president, and seeing him accidentally touch Sensei turns Yuki on even more. She sets up the scenario; the director doesn’t even try to make a transition, so you almost don’t know whether she’s fantasizing or it’s in action. You only figure it out because of her reaction when Mizuki and the other gyaru show up, and she thinks she’s about to get bullied. But Mizuki thinks she’s so cute; she rushes over to hug Yuki.

In the meantime, Yuki set up the scenario in which she messed up the teacher’s blouse, pushed her into a closet, and told her she couldn’t come out in what she had on. She had to change, so the clothes she had for Sensei is a bunny suit. Mizuki smothers Yuki with her chest. Once they leave, Yuki peeks into the classroom, but the teacher hasn’t changed yet. Yuki’s fantasy is ruined. She’s sitting alone at the top of the steps, upset she hasn’t had any alone time with Hiyori since she came to school. So, Teach shows up in a bunny suit, looking for Yuki. Much to Yuki’s elation.
Abikura had mentioned to Sensei that Yuki looked upset. After the apologies and a teacher with a co-dependent streak, she says the one thing you shouldn’t say to Yukishita-san, resulting in an even more proactive outfit just for Akibura to walk up and see. “Weak and Wimpy Bunnysuit coming to a school near you.”

The students are still afraid of her, so Abikura calls to order the first Hiwamura-sensei Helpers Huddle—or Weak and Wimpy Workshop. It’s a real rogues’ gallery, with Mizuki and Yuki the only additions. They have what Abikura calls a grope chat. I noticed it before, but it really stands out: Mizuki likes him. It was apparent when she asked him after Sensei, “Was he going after this little one too?” It’s reinforced when she says, “You always make friends behind my back without telling me.”

Abikura calls the group back to order; the plan is to improve her image at the upcoming second-year school camp. Hiyori is also on the same page, trying to improve her image, and they’re going to help her with a bunch of sexy cosplays since they’re going with the ghost theme. I guess that’s the segue into Episode 4.
Score and Closing Thoughts
Did I enjoy this episode? It had its comedy moments, but I felt like the fan service was forced in parts; other parts worked, and it seemed to work after Yuki came to school. So it basically follows the same pattern as Episode 2. Started slow, then really rams everything home, and kind of ends on a note that at least tries to compel you to watch another episode. Everything from all of Yuki and Sensei’s fan service to Yuki and Mizuki and a very little bit of Abikura. So I guess what they’re trying to say is that if the three-episode rule is the key to liking an anime, they’ve basically played their hand.

As I said up top, I’m not even going to give you a score this time. I decided to roll with it. MAL still has the series sitting around 6.61, and that’s still the neighborhood I’m in. Episode 4 is the school camp with the ghost theme. I’m going to peek at it. No commitment past that yet.
